Align or alignment is a term used to describe how text is placed on the screen in relation to the margins. For example, left-aligned text creates a straight line of text on the left-hand side of the page. There are four main alignments: left, right, center, and justified.
- Left-aligned: text is text that is aligned with a left edge.
- Right-aligned: text is text that is aligned with a right edge.
- Centered: text is text that is centered between two edges.
- Justified: text is aligned along the left margin, with letter-spacing and word-spacing adjusted so that the text falls flush with both margins, also known as fully justified or full justification
If you want to find and replace text in a Word document, use the key combo Ctrl + H. That will bring up the “Find and Replace” dialog box. Then simply type in the word or words you're looking for and what to replace it with. In an Internet browser, Ctrl+H may open the history. To use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+H,

There is no Indent Case in case menu since it offers only four options as you can see below:
- Sentence case: It capitalizes the first letter of each sentence.
- Lowercase: It changes the text from uppercase to lowercase.
- Uppercase: It capitalizes all the all letters of your text.
- ToggleCase: ToggleCase is text that is converted to mixed case version of the text. For instance, the word "dictionary" could be converted into "dIctIOnAry".
Cropping is the removal of unwanted outer areas from a photographic or illustrated image.
When referring to text, indent or indentation is the increase or decrease of space between the left and right margin of a paragraph. To indent text, move the cursor to the front of the line and press the Tab on the keyboard. Example of indented text.
When using endnotes, your can quoted or paraphrased sentence or summarized material. To Insert footnotes and endnotes:
- Click where you want to reference to the footnote or endnote.
- On the References tab, select Insert Footnote or Insert Endnote.
- Enter what you want in the footnote or endnote.
- Return to your place in the document by double-clicking the number or symbol at the beginning of the note.
Subscript is the text which a small letter/number is written after a particular letter/number. It hangs below its letter or number. It is used when writing chemical compounds. An example of subscript is N2.
